The impact you'll make
Responsible for installation performance and maintaining internal customer satisfaction and trust with other regions. Running the day-to-day operations of the Global Flexible Workforce from Malaysia including management of the team's total field operations.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for the safety of engineers assigned in identifying hazardous service environment and provide continuing safety training to the engineering team.
- Professionally represent the company to the customer. Develop and maintain good customer relations. Assume accountability for continued customer satisfaction with service provided within assigned territory, site or function. Coordinate service requirements with lam personnel to provide quality installations for assigned tool.
- Provide technical advice, counsel and assistance to the customers and company on all aspects of equipment service support. Provides technical guidance to lower level staff.
- Management of quality of installation including all aspect of install support (i.e. parts ordering and quality)
- Complying with Lam's Escalation Policies and resolve escalation with RPS.
- Generate forecast on engineering labor hours and expenses for department assigned. Manage the utilization of engineer hours to the utilization percentage target for a balanced absorption result.
- Responsible for covering international needs at all Lam sites, including international travels up to 15% of time, supporting the team at other regional sites
- Direct and supervise the day-to-day work of his direct reports.
- Responsible for the annual Performance Management & Development exercise of his direct reports.
- Develop and mentor high-potential personnel in order to continuously build a stronger team as well as provide opportunities for qualified internal personnel.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, with at least the last three years in a people management role
- Technical knowledge of Lam's technological competitive advantage including etch / clean / deposition technology
- Account management know-how including excellent people management and strategic customer relationship building skills
- Possesses strong inter-personal and communications skills. Experience in dealing with difficult work partners
- Commands good oral and written English
- Has ability to work on one's own and make decisions within the assigned area of responsibility
- Possesses good analytical and problem solving skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
