Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Field Service Technician with a background in IT or Engineering to
join our technical team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of hardware and software systems within the healthcare industry.
The ideal candidate combines strong logical thinking with hands-on technical skills, capable
of navigating the unique demands of a hospital environment while adhering to strict Service
Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Support: Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting primarily within hospitals and medical facilities.
- System Maintenance: Manage and run applications across Windows and Android Operating Systems.
- Networking: Set up and troubleshoot network connectivity (LAN/WAN) to ensure seamless system integration.
- Physical Hardware: Physically manage, transport, and install heavy hardware components (e.g., Medical Kiosks, terminals, or peripheral equipment).
- SLA & Ticket Management: Utilize Jira to track support cases and ensure all issues are resolved within the stipulated SLA timelines.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate records of site visits, hardware inventory, and technical resolutions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in IT, Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 13 years of experience in field support, healthcare IT, or technical services.
- Nationality: Must be a Malaysian citizen.
- Language: Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Mindset: Strong logical thinking and analytical skills to diagnose hardware/software issues under pressure.
- Logistics: Must possess own transport (Car/Motorcycle) and a valid license.
- Physical: Physically fit and capable of lifting/carrying heavy hardware.
Preferred Skills (A Plus):
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a hospital environment or the healthcare sector.
- Specialized Hardware: Prior experience with Kiosk setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Software Tools: Familiarity with Jira Service Management or equivalent ticketing software.
- Professionalism: Excellent behavior and a disciplined attitude suitable for clinical environments.
