Job Overview
The Finance Account Executive is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance, and timely execution of all accounting functions. In addition, this role provides personal assistance to the Managing Director by managing appointments, scheduling meetings, and maintaining an up-to-date calendar to ensure smooth day-to-day coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Functions
- Manage full sets of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Assist in audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for financial systems and processes.
Personal Assistant Support to Managing Director
- Manage and maintain the Managing Director's calendar, appointments, and meeting schedules.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements.
- Screen and handle phone calls, correspondence, and inquiries on behalf of the Managing Director.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant briefing materials.
- Follow up on assigned tasks, deadlines, and key priorities to ensure smooth execution of daily activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience in providing executive support or PA duties to senior management.
- Knowledge of tax computation, SST, and local statutory requirements.
