Maintain and manage standard costing for products, including material, labor, and overhead rates, ensuring accurate and timely product cost information.
Perform detailed variance analysis on material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, and overall production costs provide clear and meaningful explanations to management.
Partner closely with plant operations, supply chain, and procurement to monitor manufacturing cost drivers and identify cost optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities related to inventory and cost accounting, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Monitor inventory valuation and movements, and support cycle counts and physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Prepare cost, margin, and profitability analysis to support pricing decisions, product margin reviews, and strategic planning initiatives.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing operations, including production costs, overhead expenses, and capital expenditures.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards, while continuously improving costing methodologies and reporting processes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis.
Prior experience in manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Solid understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Proficient in accounting systems, with SAP experience considered a strong advantage.
