Finance responsibilities
- Handle daily financial matters, company's cash flow, operations & activities of the finance accounts
- Manage & update accounts data entry, records & journal transactions & post in accounting systems
- Check & ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness & integrity of all financial data, maintain company documents & records systematically & properly
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, journal vouchers, debit notes & credit notes
- Manage full set of company accounts
- Check, review & ensure all accounting & financial transactions records, procedures & systems comply with company policies, accounting standard procedures & related statutory & tax requirements
- Prepare the month end closing including accounts payable, accounts receivable & all other necessary accruals, reversal & payable
- Manage staff & directors claims & reconcile at the end of the year
- Handling petty cash
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Preparation of Monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Projected Cash flow together with Staff costs
- Prepare SST calculation & submission
- Monthly CP204, EPF, Socso, Eis, & PCB staff tax return online submission
- Perform & handle monthly payroll
- Prepare & manage monthly payroll system
- Ensure that all documents and registrations such as MOF and SSM are up to date
- Carry out bank reconciliation every month
- Prepare and handle the monthly profit and loss
- Annually, handle the CP204 / 205 company tax including calculation, submission, revise & payment (Liaise with the Auditor
- Identify opportunity areas to use funds more effectively
- Prepare & manage fixed assets & depreciation listing
- Prepare yearly forecast
- Update staff data in EPF, SOCSO, EIS & LHDN
- Prepare Yearly EA form
- Prepare Form E & CP8D & submit
- Prepare Director's personal tax calculation & submission
- Prepare accounts for audit reviews, schedules & handle & solve all audit enquiries
- Liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, legal consultant, regulatory authorities, & other related parties to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit, tax & statutory requirements
- Liaise with client procurement to ensure prompt payment of invoices and address issues
- Prepare audit & tax schedules & planning including tax return submission
- Ensuring proper documentation storage of financial records
Human Resource responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting efforts, conduct interviews, help evaluate and select candidates
- Create comprehensive onboarding program to integrate new hires
- Design frameworks for constructive feedback, performance evaluations, and employee development plans
- Use the HR management system (QuickHR)
- Contribute to improving company policies, improving and updating the employee handbook
- Ensure full compliance with local employment laws and regulations
- Oversee payroll administration, contribute to improving competitive salary structures and managing benefits packages
- Act as a bridge between management and staff, mediating workplace disputes, and directing disciplinary procedures
- Consult with executives and department heads to forecast staffing needs and shape company culture
- Monitor employee leave including Annual Leave and Sick Leave
Additional requirements
- Accounting degree or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years experience
- Experience working with a small company
- SQL Software experience an advantage
- Able to speak BM & English fluently
- A good memory
