Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations to support business plans, including handling accounting transactions, monitoring accounts payable and receivables, overseeing costing, cash management, tax planning, and performing financial reporting and analysis functions.
Maintain general ledger accounts, perform reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, and generating financial reports from the ledger.
Prepare management accounts in accordance with MFRS, including monthly consolidated profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements accompanied by detailed analysis for management reporting.
Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures, maintain internal controls, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's finance operations.
Conduct financial planning, forecasting, and analysis of operating results in comparison to budgeted figures, providing recommendations for improvement and taking appropriate actions.
Stay updated on changes in tax regulations, accounting standards, business trends, and market conditions to ensure compliance and inform financial decision-making.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other relevant stakeholders for financial accounting and tax-related matters.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Professional Certificate (ACCA / ICAEW / CPA / CIMA) or equivalent.
Min 5 years in construction or renewable energy industry is preferred.
Required Skills
Autocount or SAP system knowledge is preferred.
Advance Microsoft Excel skill is preferred.
Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an added advantage.
Extensive experience in handling full set accounts.
Good financial reporting skills that is timely, accurate and concise.
Resourceful, able to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills, both writing and speaking in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
