About the
RoleThe Finance Manager Asia is a key member of the regional Finance team, based in Malaysia and responsible for financial management across multiple Asian markets. The role combines solid operational finance with a strong international mindset, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial control across the region while actively engaging with global Finance stakehold
ers.
Key Responsibil
ities1. Financial Reporting & Contro
lling• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across all Asian entities in line with group dead
lines• Prepare and review regional financial statements, management reports, and variance ana
lyses• Ensure accurate and timely reporting into the group consolidation s
ystem• Monitor financial KPIs, identify deviations, and provide actionable insights to regional and global manag
ement• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans for the Asia r
egion
2. SAP & Finance S
ystems• Act as the regional SAP key user and first point of contact for SAP FI/CO matters across Asian en
tities• Drive local implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP processes in close collaboration with global IT and Finance
teams• Support SAP rollouts and system migrations within the region, ensuring data quality and process comp
liance• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes using SAP and complementary digital
tools• Train and support local finance staff in SAP usage and best pra
ctices
3. Compliance, Tax & T
reasury• Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting, tax regulations, and audit requirements across all covered Asian
markets• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities in each
country• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes in the
region• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reconciliation pr
ocesses
4. International Collaboration & Finance C
ommunity• Represent the Asia region in global working groups, and cross-functional
projects• Implement global Finance policies and standards locally, adapting where necessary to meet regulatory requ
irements• Collaborate with global Finance colleagues on topics such as process harmonization, system rollouts, and reporting s
tandards• Share regional insights and best practices with the broader Finance community to support continuous imp
rovement• Partner closely with HR, Legal, and Operations colleagues across the region on cross-functiona
l topics
