Job Description

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Finance Associate to groom for management. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will support the finance and operations of the Group in Singapore. You will work closely with the Finance Team and report directly to the Senior Finance Manager, while also supporting the Group CFO and COO on group-level financial management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full set of accounts independently for assigned entities, including preparation of supporting schedules, reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
  • Perform core accounting functions such as cash management and payment operations.
  • Prepare and analyse various finance and operational reports for management decision-making.
  • Lead the coordination of annual external audits across multiple entities and funds.
  • Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information provided to auditors.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings, handle local tax matters, and ensure timely submissions to relevant authorities.
  • Support compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial controls, including assisting with audit and internal reviews.
  • Manage professional service providers such as fund administrators, banks, tax agent, corporate secretaries, and auditors, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the distribution of returns to existing investors, including drafting of required documents.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 4 years of accounting work experience, preferably with external audit exposure.
  • Exposure to fund accounting / capital calls / private equity / fund management or related firms is a huge plus (however candidates without prior experience in these fields are strongly encouraged to apply & you will be provided with internal guidance & training)
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical foundation in Singapore/International Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS or IFRS) and IRAS regulations is an advantage.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
    • Able to multi-task, prioritise, and perform under tight timelines.
    • Forward-looking and proactive, with a passion for problem-solving and process improvement.
    • A strong team player with good organisational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems is a bonus.
