Role Purpose
The Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic and financial decision‑making. This role partners closely with GBSC Operations Leaders to develop dashboards, analyze performance trends, build financial models, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable navigating complex datasets to tell a clear business story.
Overall Objective
- Service Reliability & Data Integrity: Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting with strong data governance across all platforms.
- Insightful & Actionable Analytics: Deliver insight‑focused reports, deep‑dive analyses, forecasting models, and what‑if scenarios that guide decisions and highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Data-Driven Decision Enablement: Provide high‑quality insights, business recommendations, and performance drivers to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Process, Quality & Reporting Standardization: Improve BI processes, enhance data quality, and lead initiatives to standardize metrics and reporting across functions or regions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Collect, integrate, and validate data from multiple systems (ERP, CRM, financial systems, operational data sources).
- Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and KPI tracking to support business performance insights.
- Identify data gaps, improve data quality, and work with IT/Tech teams to enhance BI infrastructure.
- Conduct deep‑dive analytics to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and business transformation programs.
Financial Analysis & Planning
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including P&L.
- Build financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses for business proposals and investment decisions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning, helping GBSC leaders to understand key assumptions and risks.
- Analyze cost structures, productivity metrics, and efficiency opportunities.
- Provide insights that support margin improvement, cost optimization, and resource allocation decisions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Operations, HR and GBS functions to understand business needs and translate them into analytical outputs.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leaders through visualizations, storytelling, and concise reporting.
- Work with IT to enhance data pipelines and data quality.
- Support global transformation, digitalization, and process improvement projects.
- Drive continuous improvement in analytics processes, reporting capabilities, and data usage.
- Support the creation and maintenance of data governance standards and master data processes.
Professional Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA, CBIP) is a plus.
Specific Skill and Knowledge
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in BI tools (Power BI preferred).
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
- Experience with SQL, Python, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles.
