About the Role

The position is responsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting for General Insurance Business within the statutory requirements and guidelines.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the timely completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reports of General Insurance business.
• Review the accuracy and ensure timely submission of local statutory returns to BNM, IFRS templates to AIA Group and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements.
• Perform variance analysis of the financial results and prepare management analysis pertaining to reporting to local management, AIA Group and statutory bodies.
• Review monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements.
• Resolve issues and queries related to GL posting, processes and system, and identify solutions and improvements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• A recognized Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Analytical and good problem solving skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
