Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Manage full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow, payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, PCB).
- Prepare day-to-day accounting entries and month-end close.
- Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to Singapore.
- Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Monthly management reporting, variance analysis and presentation to management
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, banks, and government authorities (e.g., LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF).
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as corporate tax, SST, and Companies Act.
- Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Human Resources
- HR full spectrum including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisal, and offboarding.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook in line with Malaysian labour law.
- Foster positive employee relations and handle disciplinary/grievance matters.
- Support organizational development, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955 and other relevant HR regulations in Malaysia.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and HR, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, labour legislation, and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Communication, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting/HR software.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
