Finance Director | Johore Malaysia | 12-18 Y | WFO 5 Days |

The Finance Director will partner closely with the Managing Director – Malaysia on strategic business decisions while overseeing Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Reporting, Compliance and Financial Controls.

The role will report to the Group CFO and will have significant exposure to senior leadership, banking partners, auditors and strategic business initiatives.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership

• Lead the Finance function and provide strategic financial direction.
• Own P&L management for Malaysia/Singapore operations.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Analyse business performance, market trends and financial risks to support executive decision-making.
• Monitor budgets, investments and operational expenditure.
• Support commercial contracts, procurement and strategic business initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Governance

• Oversee accounting, AR/AP, taxation, audits and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, corporate governance and FCPA standards.
• Provide financial performance reporting to Group HQ.
• Develop and maintain robust financial policies, processes and controls.

Treasury & Banking

• Partner with Group Treasury on funding strategies and financing plans.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, consultants and other strategic partners.
• Oversee cash-flow forecasting, liquidity management and local banking operations.
• Support loan administration and compliance with banking covenants.

M&A & Business Expansion

• Support M&A activities, including financial evaluation, transaction support and post-deal integration.
• Partner with leadership on strategic expansion initiatives.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and operational efficiency.

Leadership

• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing Finance team.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Procurement and Business functions.

Desired Profile:

✅ 12–18 years of progressive Finance & Accounting experience

✅ Proven experience in a Finance Director / Financial Controller / Senior Finance Leadership role

✅ Strong P&L, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience

✅ Excellent knowledge of Accounting, Taxation, Audit, Treasury and Compliance

✅ Strong exposure to Malaysia/Singapore business operations

✅ Experience working with banks and managing corporate funding/financing

✅ Strong understanding of financial controls and governance

✅ Exposure to M&A / business expansion is highly desirable

✅ Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

✅ Strong commercial acumen with an ability to translate financial insights into business decisions
