The Finance Executive - Finance Operations & Process will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and assisting in improving financial processes for greater efficiency and compliance. This role is ideal for someone with 1 – 3 years of finance experience, detailoriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a professional finance environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance Operations
- Handle day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, claims, staff reimbursements, and vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, supplier statements, and staff advances. Assist in monitoring company cash flow and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal financial policies and procedures.
Month-end & Year-End Closing
- Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in year-end audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all finance-related records for audit readiness.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Participate in reviewing and improving finance workflows and SOPs to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (MFRS) and company policies.
- Assist in implementing digital tools or automation to streamline financial processes.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare periodic financial reports (expense summaries, payment status, outstanding invoices, etc.) for management review.
- Support the Finance Manager in budget tracking, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Assist in preparing data and reports for management decision-making.
Collaboration & Support
- Liaise with internal departments (procurement, HR, operations, project teams) for finance-related matters.
- Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth financial transactions.
- Support ad hoc projects or tasks assigned by the Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 – 3 years of working experience in finance operations, accounting, or related roles.
- Fresh graduates with strong internship experience in finance may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems (e.g., SQL, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy and analytical thinking. Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
