Job description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Executive to oversee the day-to-day operations of our finance team, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and assisting with monthly and weekly management reports, as well as assisting with monthly journal postings, balance sheet control account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance team including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury.
- Prepare and assist with the preparation of monthly and weekly management reports.
- Prepare and assist with the monthly journal posting, balance sheet control account reconciliations, and bank reconciliation.
- Assist with the preparation of the yearly financial reporting and submission of the annual report.
- Perform responsibilities with emphasis on supervision, internal control, policies and system implementations, and statutory compliance.
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant parties for statutory and legislative requirements.
- Well verse with tax compliances in relation to employment tax, sales and services tax, and corporation tax.
- To coordinate and prepare for annual audits on financial statements, and corporate tax filing.
- Assist with human resources-related matters, i.e. payrolls, staff claims, welfare, etc
- Support the Finance team when necessary.
- Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
What We're Looking For :
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Others or equivalent.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Must possess own transportation.
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
- Able to handle a full set of accounts and assist in various daily finance and accounting activities.
- Knowledge of MYOB Accounting software will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
- Possess initiative, a self-motivated and positive attitude, and a hands-on person.
- Able to start immediately is an added advantage.
