We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our Internal Finance team and support the financial operations of our Malaysia office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of account, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and collections.
- Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare journal entries, accounting schedules, and supporting documentation for financial reporting and audits.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper filing of financial documents.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate with internal stakeholders on collection activities.
- Process employee claims, supplier payments, and other finance-related transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, financial analysis, budgets, and cash flow reporting.
- Support statutory compliance, including SST and other regulatory reporting where applicable.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external parties during audits and statutory reporting exercises.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable financial regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end closing is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
