Job Description

My client is a leading regional shared services hub based in Malaysia, providing operational, technology, administrative, and business support to life insurance and financial entities across the Asia Pacific.

They are currently looking for multiple finance talents to handle Cash Management, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting work. The contract will start as a 6-month contract with a strong chance to convert to permanent. Candidates MUST be able to read and speak Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).

Cash Management; Accounts Payable:

  • Handle end-to-end Invoice Processing and Payment Processing, including validation against purchase orders, discrepancy resolution, and accurate recording in the general ledger.
  • Process Staff Reimbursements and Claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies and timely closure.
  • Perform daily Bank Reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate posting of cash transactions.
  • Support Cash Flow Management by preparing forecasts, executing fund transfers, and maintaining cash positioning.
  • Assist in Bank Account Administration, including coordination for account opening and closing.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable and Staff Claims ageing reports for financial monitoring.

General Accounting:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure timely and accurate month-end general ledger closing.
  • Manage intercompany accounting, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, lease accounting, and staff cost allocations.
  • Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management teams to deliver accurate month-end results.
  • Prepare financial schedules and reports for management, while providing full support for internal and external audits.
  • Drive process improvements, maintain up-to-date SOPs, and support ad-hoc tasks as well as finance transformation initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable and general accounting.
  • Experience in a global shared services or finance operations environment is an advantage.
  • Proficient in English with the ability to read and speak Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP and P2P systems (e.g., Oracle, Coupa) is preferred.
