Job Description

The Finance Executive will assist the Finance Director in maintaining accurate financial, accounting, and administrative services to meet company requirements and local statutory obligations. The role supports both Head Office and local operations, ensuring timely monthly close, compliance reporting, and audit support. This position is based in Malaysia and covers both Malaysia and Singapore finance matters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle a full set of accounts and prepare monthly financial reports with minimal supervision.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting packages for Head Office.
  • Monitor cash flow and treasury operations.
  • Prepare and submit Singapore GST filings, corporate tax-related schedules, and support Singapore e-invoicing requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and manage external audits.
  • Support audits conducted by the Group Internal Audit team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysia and Singapore statutory and tax regulations.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum LCCI / Diploma in Accounting or other relevant professional qualification.

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  • Experience in a multi-national organisation with an offshore Head Office is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Singapore compliance and tax requirements is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with Head Office and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required, particularly in XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with JDE or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Bilingual with strong written and spoken English.
