The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Finance Executive to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves handling daily accounting operations, month-end closing, and supporting audit and tax requirements while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting: Handle the full set of accounts, including
• Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and cash flow management.
• Closing & Reporting: Perform monthly and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports on a timely basis.
• Cash Management: Manage bank reconciliations and monitor the company's cash flow position.
• Data Centralization: Centralize all existing spreadsheets and incorporate them directly into XERO to ensure it serves as a live, up-to-date master financial keeper.
• Documentation: Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all accounting records, including reorganizing future e-filing via cloud services.
• External Liaison: Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other external parties for audit and tax matters.
• Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements specific to the industry.
• Process Improvement: Support and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Handle other accounting tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in handling daily accounting operations.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Accounting Software: Proficiency in XERO is preferred as you will be the primary keeper of the system.
• Operational Tools: Familiarity with Stripe and Wise payment operating systems is a significant advantage.
• Financial Reporting: Proven ability to generate, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports.
• Intercompany Accounting: Experience handling intercompany transactions and cross-charges is highly preferred.
• Compliance: Experience in handling E-invoicing in compliance with RBM/LHDN

Language & Soft Skills

• Languages: Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate a dynamic, creative startup environment.

Preference will be given to candidates who are able to commence employment immediately.
