You will help work with our business users to understand and document their requirements across a variety of Financial Applications. You require managing system issues, enhancements, and upgrades while minimizing business disruption. You will collaborate across global IT teams and support end-users. You will contribute to the optimization of critical financial applications that guide informed business decisions. You will report directly to Manager I, Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote communication between finance teams, IT, and other departments to ensure understanding on project goals and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive business requirements, user stories, and process maps to guide the development and implementation teams.
- Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to understand their needs and document functional and non-functional requirements
- Conduct workshops and interviews to elicit detailed business requirements.
- Specify and support reports and dashboards to provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Develop test cases and conduct system testing to ensure that solutions meet specified requirements and are free of defects.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the finance department.
- Provide technical support for finance-related systems, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
- Help implement new finance technologies, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Be the primary and secondary support owner for assigned finance applications, ensuring system availability, stability, and issue resolution.
- Monitor and support financial system integrations, batch processes, and close-related activities, resolve issues that could affect reporting timelines.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis, impact assessment, and coordination with internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain application documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles to ensure support and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a finance or accounting environment.
- Experience with financial processes and analysis.
- Experience with ERP Financial systems is desirable.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, or similar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- An understanding of IT concepts, terminology and practical application of current and latest technologies.
- Analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most sensible and economical solutions.
