Wine Connection owns and operates the largest chain of wine retail shops and full-service wine-themed restaurants in Thailand and Singapore. We are the exclusive importer of 300+ labels of wines from around the world, craft beers, glassware and related accessories, as well as selected delicatessen products.

Since our inception in 1998, Wine Connection has steadily grown the number of wine retail shops and diversified into the full-service restaurant business by introducing the integrated retail wine shop – restaurant concept, becoming the leader in Asia with over 100 outlets to date, and counting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Group Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead the monthly Group consolidation process and ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated management accounts.
  • Critically review financial submissions from country finance teams, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors on Group reporting and consolidation matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, timelines, and internal controls.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Lead Group cash flow management, including liquidity planning and funding requirements across all entities.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation across markets.
  • Monitor intercompany balances and manage cash positioning across entities.
  • Oversee banking relationships, including bank accounts, facilities, and signatories.
  • Establish strong visibility, governance, and controls over cash management processes.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support and coordinate the Group's budgeting, forecasting, and rolling outlook processes.
  • Consolidate financial plans and ensure alignment across markets and business units.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide clear commentary on key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of management and Board-level reporting materials.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Drive enhancements in reporting tools, dashboards, and data integrity across Group systems.
  • Lead initiatives to standardise and automate reporting and treasury processes.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and reporting disciplines across the Group.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

  • Support strategic projects and any other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in group reporting, consolidation, treasury, and/or FP&A, preferably with Big 4 exposure
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
  • Exposure in treasury and cash management activities.
  • Experience in a regional or multi-country environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or FMCG industries would be advantageous.
  • Experience with D365 ERP system and finance transformation initiatives is an advantage
