About Our Client

Our client is an established, publicly listed organization on the main market and stands as one of the world's leading integrated producers of industrial metals and tin-based products. With a rich heritage spanning over a century, the group handles both upstream mining and downstream smelting operations with a robust global distribution network. They are currently looking for a dynamic financial professional to support their growing operations at their facility based in Pulau Indah, Klang.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Finance Manager / Assistant Manager to oversee the company's operational finance functions. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and indirectly to the Co-Group Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will manage full-set accounting, budgeting, corporate taxation, statutory audits, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a dedicated team leader who thrives with minimum supervision and is keen to drive continuous improvement within a global manufacturing ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee the complete full-set of accounts (including AP, AR, GL, and Inventory) to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely preparation of monthly management reports.

  • Costing Analysis: Conduct strategic cost analyses—such as cost-volume-profit relationships, standard costing, variance analysis, transfer pricing, and activity-based costing—to deliver actionable business insights.

  • Audit & Internal Controls: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring robust statutory compliance and driving overall optimizations for internal controls and accounting workflows.

  • Taxation Compliance: Manage all corporate tax and SST matters, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of tax estimates and the filing of required tax returns.

  • Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans by partnering with various business units to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational initiatives.

  • Ad-hoc Duties: Execute any other financial projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; holding professional qualifications (such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) is highly advantageous.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience in financial audit from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm will be an added advantage.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial and tax planning, computer literacy, and accounting systems; experience working with ERP software is preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding leadership, organizational, negotiation, reporting, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Key Attributes: Self-motivated, confident, and highly analytical with a strict attention to detail and high standard of professional integrity.

  • Location: Must be willing to be based full-time at the facility in Pulau Indah.
