As the Finance Manager, you will be the key financial authority for the China entity, accountable for all aspects of financial management-including taxation, compliance, costing, treasury, reporting, budgeting, and controls. You will collaborate closely with regional and HQ teams, providing critical financial and operational insights to enable business growth. While primarily focused on China, this role may extend to regional responsibilities, reporting directly to the Regional CFO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate monthly closing and compliance with accounting standards for timely reporting.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ERP systems and monitor stock control.
  • Conduct variance analysis, cost monitoring, and financial simulations.
  • Manage treasury operations and liaise with banking partners.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including company secretarial matters.
  • Drive improvements in internal controls and SOP development.
  • Own the statutory audit process for Chinese entities.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and demand/supply planning.
  • Partner with commercial and service teams to provide financial guidance and contractual support.
  • Deliver timely commercial analysis, tracking sales and costs against budgets.
  • Prepare payroll and lead ad-hoc financial projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting; professional qualifications (MIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ISCA) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within China jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese regulations and compliance.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work independently with occasional travel to China.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
