The opportunity
This is a Finance Manager role supporting the group's Precast business in Malaysia. The group operates 2 main segments in Malaysia: Construction and Precast. The Precast business currently comprises three entities in Malaysia and one in Singapore.
The Role
- Lead the finance team (4–5 people): Coach, develop, and oversee a finance team covering the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities.
- Run finance operations: Own end-to-end AR/AP, month-end close, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive compliance & governance: Ensure full compliance with Malaysia statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements; manage finance- and tax-related obligations for the Precast entities.
- Own performance management & forecasting: Deliver regular performance reviews and insight across P&L and cash flow; own 1–3-year financial forecasts to support planning.
- Manage consolidation & reporting: Prepare consolidation for the Precast companies for audit purposes and support broader group reporting needs with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee logistics finance-adjacent processes (4 people): Manage a logistics team of 4 responsible for delivery orders and customs documentation for shipments to Singapore; oversee monthly and annual customs reporting.
What we're looking for
- Experience: 10+ years in finance with strength across accounting, tax, compliance, and financial reporting; hands-on and detail-oriented with a track record of improving processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, uplift, and hold a team accountable while partnering closely with the business.
- Change & growth exposure: Experience with new entity setup and/or post-acquisition integration is strongly valued.
- Systems & regulatory familiarity (preferred): Exposure to LMW requirements and SAP migration.
- Industry fit (preferred): Background in construction/asset-heavy environments.
- Qualifications: Degree in Finance/Accounting (or equivalent); CA/CPA (or equivalent) preferred.

Location & reporting
- Location: Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia
- Finance team based at the Eco Galleria main office, with regular interface at the precast site along Jalan Tanjung Kupang.
- Reporting line: Reports to the Head of Finance, Malaysia, with exposure to senior group finance leadership.
