Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join the finance team supporting Amelia Ice Cream in Kota Kinabalu.

In this role, you will oversee accounting operations, analyse financial data, prepare management reports, supervise junior team members and support the Finance Manager in financial and administrative matters.

Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly full-set account closing, including journal entries, bank reconciliations and supporting schedules

• Prepare group consolidation schedules and reports

• Conduct monthly financial analysis and present findings to management

• Prepare and manage weekly cash-flow projections

• Review accounting entries, supplier invoices and scheduled payments

• Review stocktake and variance reports, including stock adjustments

• Monitor AP and AR ageing

• Prepare and submit reports required by the relevant authorities

• Supervise and support the finance team's daily operations

• Liaise with bankers, tax agents and auditors

• Coach and develop junior finance staff

• Handle other ad-hoc financial reports and assignments

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• At least 5–7 years of relevant working experience

• Experience handling full-set accounts and supervising a team

• Strong numerical ability with excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• Able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information

• Experience with ERP systems and standard-cost accounting is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
