Job Description


Our client is a rapidly growing player in the advanced manufacturing sector, seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and business partnering activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and partnering with senior leadership to drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
  • Prepare and present monthly management reports, financial analysis, and business performance insights.
  • Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve financial results.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering teams to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Manage operating and capital expenditure budgets while driving cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop financial models, investment appraisals, and business cases for strategic projects.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or CIMA is highly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of finance experience, including 3 years in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, management reporting, and financial controls.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, electronics, renewable energy, automotive, or other capital-intensive industries will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelling experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
