Description
- Review and authorise payments prepared by team members, promptly addressing any queries and resolving issues related to payments.
- Oversee the month-end closing activities, ensuring that monthly balance sheet schedules are prepared on time.
- Analyse financial information to detect discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them efficiently.
- Provide leadership and support to the finance team, coordinating with other departments to collect and verify financial data.
- Prepare, oversee, and manage the annual budgeting process; track budget performance and perform variance analysis by comparing actual to budgets.
- Assist in compiling foreign exchange reports and daily position summaries, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies promptly.
- Lead the coordination and preparation for annual audits, statutory filings, and tax submissions, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Act as the primary contact point for external parties such as auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and other stakeholders.
- Undertake special projects or additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager or Deputy CFO.
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in financial reporting with a proven track record in process improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables).
- Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting tools.
- Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
- Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin, as the role requires liaising with stakeholders in China.
