Description
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all location reporting requirements, including supporting schedules for Balance Sheet items, and ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly processing deadlines are met in accordance with management expectations.
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, and work closely with crossfunctional departments to gather and validate financial information.
- Develop, manage, and prepare annual budgets, monitor ongoing budget performance, and conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgeted figures.
- Prepare and review daily Profit and Loss reports for the group, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies and escalating issues where necessary.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of annual audits, statutory filings, and tax submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other stakeholders.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager or Deputy CFO.
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 5 years working experience in financial reporting & proven track record in process
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to analyse financial data and present actionable insights.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
