Company Overview
Our client is a fast-growing organisation within the renewable energy/infrastructure sector, currently preparing for its next phase of growth with a planned NASDAQ listing targeted for Q4 this year.
As part of this expansion journey, the company is strengthening its finance function and is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, ensure reporting accuracy, and support the business through this critical growth phase.

Role Summary
We are seeking a Finance Manager who is highly hands-on and operationally strong to manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for the group.
This role is designed for someone who can independently manage the full set of accounts, month-end closing, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination, and finance operations.
The successful candidate will initially operate as the sole finance contributor, working closely with the Director of Finance to stabilise and strengthen the finance function. As the business continues to scale, the finance team is expected to expand in early next year.
This is an urgent hiring requirement.
Key Responsibilities
1) Full Set of Accounts & Financial Operations
- Manage the complete full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities independently
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules
- Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with MFRS/IFRS requirements
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across group entities
2) Financial Reporting & Listing Readiness Support
- Support the Director of Corporate Finance in strengthening finance processes ahead of NASDAQ listing
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare financial analysis, variance reporting, and management insights
- Support preparation of documentation and information required for auditors, advisors, and stakeholders
- Maintain strong financial controls and reporting discipline
3) Tax, Compliance & Audit
- Manage corporate tax compliance including Form C, CP204, CP204A, and related submissions
- Handle SST compliance and relevant regulatory requirements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trail are maintained
4) Treasury & Cash Management
- Monitor daily cash position and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Manage payment processes and banking matters
- Perform bank reconciliations and support treasury activities
- Monitor financial covenant requirements where applicable
5) E-Invoicing & Process Improvement
- Support implementation and compliance of LHDN e-Invoicing (MyInvois)
- Work with internal stakeholders to improve finance processes and workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA are highly preferred
- MIA membership or eligibility is advantageous
- 5-8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Strong hands-on experience managing full set accounts independently
- Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS reporting requirements
- Experience handling corporate tax compliance, SST, and audit processes
- Familiarity with e-Invoicing (MyInvois) requirements
- Experience supporting growing businesses, transformation, or listing preparation will be advantageous
- Renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or related industry exposure is preferred
- External audit background is an added advantage
