Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for management of MACOM worldwide Offshore, Assembly & Test (OSAT) finance activities, located at Malaysia Corporate facility, with responsibility for OSAT sites in Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam.
  • To strengthen and complement the global finance team.
  • To provide information, analysis and support to the OSAT Leadership, VP Finance, VP Supply Chain & Teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key business partner for Operations, Supply Chain and Finance teams. Will provide guidance and direction for improving operational and financial performance.
  • Supervision of OSAT accounting function include inventory analysis, product cost reporting, and inventory excess & obsolescence.
  • Responsible for OSAT inventory valuation in a standard cost environment as well as variance analysis utilizing SAP ERP.
  • Monitor inventory existence and accuracy cycle count reporting process and physical inventory procedures.
  • Operational reviews of manufacturing variances and annual standard costing updates presenting findings and recommendation to Business Unit and operational Managers.
  • Manage preparation and evaluation of annual budgets for OSAT operational teams.
  • Assist in annual validation standard rates overhead as well as standard costs for sub-contract assemblies; measure inventory impact; review with management.
  • Cost structure analysis including actual vs forecast, fixed/variable components, absorption and utilization.
  • Investigate operational issues while developing and implementing operational and financial controls to improve processes and drive cost savings.
  • Perform financial modelling for operational capital expenditures / investments to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Provide Financial and management support to Local Management and finance support staff, including relevant Financial Accounting related duties.
  • Ownership of critical internal controls and procedures, working closely with external auditors as needed.
  • Ensure business operations are compliant with company policies and best practices.
  • Prepare internal reporting package including operating metrics, financial controls and performance indicators that will help in improving business performance.

Previous Relevant Work Experience:

  • 6 -10 years relevant experience in a similar role, within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of ERP system operation.
  • SAP FI/CO experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday/Adaptive Forecasting systems.
  • Semiconductor / Electronics Industry experience preferred, especially Offshore Assembly & Test operations
  • Proficient in Excel, POWER BI & Analytical tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Membership of a recognised accountancy body
  • Bachelor's Degree with major concentration in Accounting or Finance.
