About The Role
We seek a strategic and highly motivated Finance Manager for our dynamic Platform Enterprise Finance team, based in Malaysia.
You will be responsible for all financial outputs, including annual budget, monthly forecasting, strategic planning, and comprehensive management reporting. You will uphold stringent accounting, financial, and reporting controls, ensuring financial success for EaaS team (Engineering as a Service) and platform.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for platform functions and EaaS, aligning with regional/global objectives. Develop detailed financial models and scenario analyses to identify growth opportunities for the platform and EaaS. Implement standard management reporting with comprehensive metric analysis of financial performance, trends, and variances for senior management. Partner with EaaS leadership on financial needs, revenue models, costs, and investment priorities.
- Financial Controls & Reporting: Prepare monthly journal entries. Review balance sheet accounts, and supporting schedules for accuracy. Produce complex routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analyses, tailoring insights to platform needs and EaaS performance metrics, including in-depth metric analysis. Ensure best practices and compliance across the platform functions. Identify and resolve complex financial issues within platform finance, broader regional finance and EaaS challenges. Exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead special projects to improve financial efficiency, reporting, and workflows within the platform and EaaS, with potential regional involvement. Deliver impactful presentations conveying complex financial information, key metric insights. Foster strong relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve financial objectives across teams. - Regional Backup & Expansion: Provide critical backup support for finance activities across broader regional operations, demonstrating adaptability to diverse market needs.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- 3-5+ years progressive finance experience, strong in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and metric analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level finance, ideally multi-national or platform-based.
- Proven experience with established markets and supporting markets outside Malaysia.
- Regional capacity or backup support for broader regional finance operations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical skills: interpret complex financial data, conduct thorough metric analysis, translate into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and enterprise-level ERP systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills: articulate financial concepts to finance and non-finance stakeholders, including technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment.
