Develop a deep understanding of the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) EPC business model (integrated design, procurement, and construction), and participate in full project lifecycle management while providing financial insights for decision-making.
Collaborate with project teams to establish project budgets, cost control milestones, and profitability targets, ensuring alignment between financial goals and business strategy.
Prepare regular operational and financial analysis reports, identify risks such as cost overruns and margin fluctuations, and recommend optimization strategies.
Lead full-cycle financial management of EPC projects, including revenue recognition, cost accumulation, project settlement, and tax planning.
Monitor project cash flow and manage funding plans to ensure timely and compliant collection of project payments and supplier disbursements.
Build financial models to evaluate key project metrics such as Return on Investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV).
Provide performance evaluation metrics for cross-functional departments involved in the project.
Establish and maintain a cost database for MEP projects, analyze cost drivers (equipment procurement, labor, subcontracting), and optimize cost structures.
Oversee compliance throughout project execution, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, industry regulations, and internal control requirements.
Drive digital transformation of business processes (e.g., ERP system optimization) to enhance the efficiency of financial and operational data flows.
Develop standardized financial control manuals and training programs tailored to EPC project characteristics.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related fields; professional certification such as Intermediate Accountant required, CPA/CMA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, including at least 3 years in project finance or Finance Business Partner (BP) roles within engineering/construction companies (MEP or building projects preferred).
Strong understanding of full-cycle EPC financial management, with solid knowledge of construction contract standards (or revenue recognition standards) and industry-specific tax regulations.
Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems commonly used in the EPC industry.
Strong business-finance integration mindset, with the ability to break down MEP project cost structures and identify key profitability drivers.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to drive problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
Experience in financial management of large-scale MEP EPC projects (e.g., municipal works, industrial plants, renewable energy projects, data center construction).
