This position would be heading the finance function for the facilities in Kuantan. Functionally reporting to the finance hierarchy and partnering the business lead at Kuantan.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall financial function for Kuantan.
- Manage the financials independently, including and not limited to P&L, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow.
- Responsible for the preparation and timely submission of monthly management reporting including monthly/quarterly consolidation worksheets and schedules for the Kuantan operating units, and ensuring robust and accurate presentation of financial and management information.
- Responsible for the annual budget planning and quarter forecasting processes and active monitoring the actual performance against approved budgets/forecasts.
- Working capital management and close liaison with the project teams in relation to billings and collections; as well as working with Group Treasury on funding planning and management.
- Review of costing and progress of projects on a timely basis.
- Lead internal control requirements and process improvement.
- Ensure that company policies and practices are clearly defined, consistently followed by all relevant parties and continuously improved as and when needed
- Responsible for risk management and able to identify potential control weaknesses on an ongoing basis.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other statutory bodies/authorities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as audit, tax, Companies Act, customs, and other governing authorities.
- Undertake special assignment, ad hoc assignment & related duties as and when necessary.
- Managing and developing the team – this includes providing leadership and coaching to the reporting team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / ACCA / CPA or equivalent. Part qualification is also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in Operation Finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment and with auditing background with medium size audit firm.
- Aggressive and accountable, and at the same time able to manage the stakeholders well
- Independent in managing the team, handling issues, continuously push for improvement, and other matters.
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Attention to details.
- Strong technical knowledge and highly analytical.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Self-starter.
