Job Description

rhi is recruiting for 7 Business Process Analysts - Finance Master Data to join our client's team in KL, Malaysia, on a 12-month contract (option for extension based on performance).

Senior Business Process Analyst (Finance Master Data) - Minimum 6 - 8 years experience

Business Process Analyst (Finance Master Data) - Minimum 4 - 6 years experience

  • Candidate must have proficient in SAP FI & CO - Preferably exposure in SAP MDG and maintenance finance data structures /mapping.
  • Must have Finance Master Data experience
  • Working arrangement will be (60/40) - 60:40 arrangement will become applicable once they can independently perform their tasks. This will be subject to the Line Manager's observation and discretion.
  • Candidate require working in UK shift hour during month end close period and ad-hoc basis.

This role is responsible for maintaining, optimizing and managing Finance Data Structures (FDS), including, but not limited to Chart of Accounts, Cost Elements, Profit Centers, Cost Centers and Reporting Hierarchies.

You will be instrumental in driving the enrichment of finance master data, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and reliability for the clients group. Additionally, you will interface with various functions across the organization to uphold, reinforce data integrity standards, assist in evaluating data quality and compliance.

Operational Accountabilities:

Senior Business Process Analyst:

  • Manage and maintain FDS requests and data set to comply with the Global Financial Template (GFT), Americas Financial Template (AFT), Finance Business Warehouse (FBW) data standards and our clients policies
  • Conduct thorough reviews of data sets, analyze the ADH dashboard and implement data validation processes to identify and correct discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Define, promote and enforce governance principles & standards and ensure FDS integrity remains truly global, generic in nature and fit for purpose.
  • Educate users on GFT & AFT principles and processes for FDS usage. Provide understanding and knowledge to users of viable mapping solutions in MI to deliver GFO and related MI reporting needs.
  • Deliver effective data services by driving an efficient process with continuous improvement and transformation culture in the team environment.
  • Maintain professional and proactive relationship with key stakeholders at all levels and keep familiar with all aspects of or clients finance data requirements across the business segments and functions.
  • Verify that process documentation reflects with the current operational state and is updated in timely manner to reflect any changes
  • Support internal and external audit queries and support ad hoc tasks or projects as and when required.

Business Process Analyst:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of addition, change and deactivation of finance master data requests in accordance with SLAs & conduct validations to compliance with the Global Financial Template (GFT), Americas Financial Template (AFT) and Finance Business Warehouse (FBW) data standards & practices.
  • Understand the context in which data is used within the business & match business requirements to the sources of data within systems as well as end-to-end MDG application system data landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Quality team to define and document the data quality rules and execute related test scenarios.
  • Work closely with governance teams to secure business buy-in for data updates required for data quality improvement.
  • Support Project Deployments on Finance Master Data, FBW loads mappings and resolving issue, when required.
  • Review and approval of updates to Financial Data Structures (FDS) and associated mapping tables.
  • Provision of business support at key periods (e.g., month end) to enable timely reporting
  • Maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders such as Super Users and Technical support teams.

About you:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or recognized professional accounting qualification or related fields.
  • Senior Business Process Analyst- Minimum 6 - 8 years with solid experience in general accounting, group and MI reporting
  • Business Process Analyst - Minimum 4 - 6 years with solid relevant experience in general accounting, group and MI reporting.

Key requirements:

  • Proficient in SAP FI & CO. Preferably exposure in SAP MDG and maintenance finance data structures /mapping.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to manage conflict & ability to work through complex issues.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure & meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work UK shift during close period and on ad hoc basis.

Desirable criteria:

  • Sound understanding of the nature, purpose and application of CoA including statutory charts across business segments.
  • Understanding of other SAP core modules such as SD, AM, MM and PS.
  • Experience of SAP FICO deployments, data structures & preparation, mapping and maintenance of financials master data.
  • Knowledge of MI, Group Reporting and Business Reporting processes including use of Business Warehouse (SAP BW).
