Job Description
Finance Systems & User Support
- Provide front-line support to finance and reporting teams on financial systems, data, and processes.
- Manage and resolve user queries, incidents, and enhancement requests, ensuring timely resolution of close-critical issues.
- Proactively monitor system activity to identify data issues and support timely completion of finance activities.
Period-End Close & Reporting Support
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including consolidation and balance sheet processes.
- Provide daily operational support during critical close periods, including participation in close coordination calls.
- Assist finance users in completing balance sheet reviews and assurance activities.
Data & Controls
- Monitor data flows from source systems into finance reporting platforms to ensure data completeness and integrity.
- Support system setup and maintenance activities related to close cycles (e.g. period openings/closures, calendar updates).
- Promote adherence to internal controls, policies, and data governance standards.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
- Identify opportunities to improve finance system usage, data quality, and user experience.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Build sufficient knowledge to resolve most user issues independently, escalating only when required.
Training & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver ad-hoc user guidance and structured training sessions on finance systems and reporting processes.
- Build strong working relationships with finance stakeholders across regions and time zones.
- Provide support coverage during critical periods, including early starts, late finishes, or weekends where required.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (or actively pursuing) such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Strong experience supporting finance systems (e.g. ERP, data warehouses, consolidation or reporting tools).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end accounting and financial control processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly during peak reporting periods.
