My client is a public-listed group operating across multiple business units, with both local and overseas operations, offering employees exposure to complex business structures and cross-border collaboration. The organisation is financially strong, well-governed, and recognised for disciplined reporting standards and corporate transparency. They are seeking a highly capable Financial Accountant to join their Finance team.

Your new role

This role focuses on Group consolidation and financial reporting. You will support monthly closes, quarterly announcements, and annual audited accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Group consolidation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Preparation of quarterly announcements and annual reporting materials
• Coordination of group-wide month-end close timelines
• Supporting audits, analysts briefings, and board reporting
• Ensuring proper application of accounting policies at Group level
• Supporting integration of newly acquired entities
• Continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA or equivalent)
• 3-5 years experience in Group consolidation and financial reporting. Ideally, experienced in complex group structures or multi-entity consolidation
• Experience in a public listed company environment in Malaysia
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, consolidation techniques, and reporting standards
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and structured closing timelines
