Financial Accountant (Japanese Language) – 12-Month Contract | Kuala Lumpur/Remote
A global technology firm is seeking a FinancialAccountant to join its APAC finance team on a 12-month contract based in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support APAC consolidated financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Apply Japanese GAAP across reporting, compliance, and accounting treatments
- Partner with regional finance teams and business stakeholders across APAC
- Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled tools and automation
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in accounting/finance within MNC or regional environments
- Strong knowledge of Japanese GAAP
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency (spoken and written)
- Experience in APAC or regional consolidated reporting preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
