Description
- Financial Accounting & Reporting - Oversee preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensure accurate month-end closing, support external audits, and present performance analysis to management, while meeting statutory filing requirements.
- Audit & Compliance Management - Proactively identify and mitigate potential audit issues, facilitate audit procedures, and maintain reliable accounting records to uphold governance standards.
- Corporate Tax Compliance - Manage tax provisions, estimates, and returns through detailed computation and analysis, ensuring timely and accurate payments in line with tax laws and regulations.
- Financial Advisory Support - Provide guidance on accounting policies, procedures, and financial matters to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with MFRSs and relevant legislation.
- Fixed Assets Oversight - Conduct periodic verification, valuation, and recording of assets, assess impairments, and manage disposals/write-offs in compliance with accounting standards and governance requirements.
- Information Provision & Stakeholder Engagement - Deliver timely financial insights and recommendations to address operational issues, supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
Profile
A Successful Financial Accounting Manager Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Proven expertise in managing financial accounting processes.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas / Energy industry is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
