Finance Business Partner, Malaysia

Summary

Integral member of the Country Management Team with responsibility for delivering actions that underpin the businesses acquisition and organic growth strategies. Strategic partner in the business able to provide insightful decision support enabling more informed business decision making. To lead, inspire, motivate and empower the Finance function with responsibility for tax, treasury, statutory reporting and business information duties.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Custodian of local legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversight of Finance, Tax and Legal operations
  • Development of adequate risk management and internal controls
  • Play an active business partnering role by reviewing and analysing financial performance and engaging with business units on significant variances.
  • Be custodian of corporate governance
  • Ensure all entities and employees conduct business in line with applicable laws and regulations, as well as with global and local policies and procedures and the companies code of conduct
  • Definition and monitoring of relevant KPIs
  • Preparation of financial plans, budgets and forecasts. Analyze financial performance to predict future developments and achieve business objectives
  • Financial advice and support for decision-makers. This includes the interpretation of financial data to support management in making strategic decisions.
  • Identification and assessment of financial risks and the development of strategies to mitigate them.
  • Bridge between the finance department and other business units. Ensure that financial targets and requirements are clearly communicated and understood.

Requirements

  • Professional Finance Qualification with CPA certification.
  • 10 years + progressive experience.
  • Experience within a multinational environment.
  • SAP distinct advantage.
  • Audit experience.
  • Analytical approach to business.
  • Capable of motivating and leading a team.
