The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a well-established property development group with a strong pipeline of residential, commercial, and integrated developments. This role partners closely with senior management to ensure strong financial governance, disciplined project controls, and commercial decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-spectrum finance operations including financial reporting, AP/AR, GL, and fixed assets
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in compliance with MFRS and listed-company standards
- Manage property development accounting including project costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and cash flow tracking
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple projects and entities
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, and finance processes to support scale and compliance
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, valuers, and regulatory bodies
- Provide financial analysis, feasibility studies, and ROI assessments for new and ongoing developments
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a strong, disciplined finance organization
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA / CA / CPA qualification preferred
- 812 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within property development or construction
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, development cost controls, and revenue recognition
- Experience in a structured, multi-entity or listed-company environment is an advantage
- Commercially minded, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced project environment
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
