As a Financial Controller, you will lead our Finance Department to ensure seamless operations and full compliance with all adopted policies, procedures, and Shangri-La standards. You will serve as a strategic guardian of the hotel's assets while fostering a culture of excellence and precision.
As a Financial Controller , we rely on you to
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, providing mentorship and guidance to the Finance team.
- Oversee daily routines to ensure a streamlined month-end closing process and the delivery of accurate, timely financial statements.
- Maintain strict internal controls to catch and fix errors or procedural gaps quickly.
- Deliver precise monthly financial statements and schedules that are always audit-ready.
- Keep the General Ledger and all financial records accurate and up-to-date.
- Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet trends to give management clear, actionable advice.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within a luxury hospitality environment.
- A professional accounting qualification is mandatory.
- Extensive expertise in Accounting Controls and comprehensive Financial Management processes.
- A strategic thinker with a strong operational grounding and an uncompromising eye for detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence, and organize complex workflows effectively.
- Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
