Our Client is a leading multinational European manufacturing company with a strong presence across the world. As a global leader in their sector and a strong growth plan for the Malaysia business, they are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. This position will be based in Selangor, Malaysia.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial operations across Malaysia entities, ensuring strong financial governance and alignment with Group directives.
- Drive internal controls and compliance, including SOX, legal requirements, statutory audits, and Group policies, while acting as the local compliance representative.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and decisionmaking with senior management.
- Oversee management reporting, ensuring accurate monthly results, variance analysis, and reliable financial data for local, regional, and Group stakeholders.
- Enhance financial systems and processes, collaborating with other departments to implement effective tools, improve productivity, and maintain high data quality.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities, including forecasting, risk monitoring, and fund transfers in coordination with Group Treasury.
- Oversee legal, credit, and taxrelated matters, including contract reviews, credit management, receivables collection, and monitoring regulatory/tax developments.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, preferably with a recognized professional qualification.
- Previously from similar manufacturing industry, ideally in a multinational setup
- Detail oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and good communication skills
- Ability to act as a business partner to key stakeholders
