Job Description: Financial Controller (Accounting & Compliance)

Reports to: Finance Lead

Team Management: GL (1 FTE), AP (1 FTE), AR (1 FTE)

Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company's financial reporting and compliance processes. This role is central to our accounting, treasury, and regulatory operations, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance across all financial activities. You will be a partner with the Business Controller and broader finance team to ensure robust financial governance and transparency.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with group and statutory requirements.
  • Own the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

General Ledger, AP & AR

  • Manage the General Ledger, ensuring reconciliation and data integrity.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations including billing, collections, payments, and vendor management.

Tax, Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and statutory/compulsory reporting.
  • Ownership of other finance related compliance topics
  • Steer and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Group Reporting & Consolidation

  • Own the correct and timely submission of financials to Group consolidation tools (e.g., HFM).
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of trial balance and adjustments.

Process Improvements

  • Implement accounting automation and process efficiency initiatives.

Business Partnering

  • Work cross-functionally with business units and the Business Controller to ensure the financial integrity of business decisions.
