We are seeking an accomplished and results-oriented leader in innovation, with a proven track record in transforming accounting outsourcing operations.
This role requires a strong understanding of finance, advanced technical skills, and effective project management capabilities. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with partners and managers to identify areas for improvement, leverage innovative technologies to streamline operations, and oversee the full implementation of digital transformation projects.
This position will be permanently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify and execute innovation initiatives specifically to Outsourcing services (e.g. within accounting, payroll, and corporate secretarial workflows).
- Apply a strong understanding of Outsourcing operations, service delivery models, and compliance requirements to design and implement practical and high-impact solutions.
- Evaluate and implement automation tools, digital platforms, and workflow systems tailored to outsourcing environments.
- Oversee innovation project performance by planning, monitoring, tracking key metrics, and providing comprehensive reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Deliver measurable improvements in turnaround time, accuracy, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintains regular communication with Forvis Mazars regional and global innovation communities to exchange best practices.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors in designing and developing solutions that enhance the efficiency of outsourcing operations, including client-facing and internal processes.
- Create comprehensive training materials and deliver engaging training sessions to facilitate seamless adoption of innovation initiatives.
- Supports the onboarding and governance of innovation tools, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies regarding data protection, risk management, and IT governance.
- Stay informed of emerging trends in financial technology, automation, and process transformation relevant to the accounting industry, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related fields.
- Has at least 6 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record in driving innovation, automation, or transformation within accounting or finance operations.
- Solid knowledge of Singapore accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with outsourcing workflows, client servicing, and SLA driven environments.
- Hands-on experience in system implementation, automation tools, or workflow optimisation.
- Technical skills such as Excel VBA, SQL, Power BI or basic programming (e.g., Python) will be advantageous.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link innovation to the client and business value.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven outsourcing environment.
