Financial Reporting Analyst – Japanese Language Support (12-Month Contract)

We are supporting a leading global manufacturing company in the search for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join its regional Shared Services Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will partner with finance teams across Japan and the wider APAC region to support financial reporting, month-end close activities and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting requirements
• Support audit, statutory and compliance activities
• Investigate and resolve accounting and reporting discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Japan and regional finance teams
• Participate in process improvement and reporting transformation initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• 2+ years of experience within Financial Reporting, General Ledger or Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Shared Services Centre or multinational company experience preferred
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting processes
• Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERP systems preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Japanese language proficiency required to support Japanese-speaking stakeholders
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
