Company Background:
Our client is a multinational manufacturer, and they are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to be based in Melaka plant.
Overall Job Purpose:
He / She will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit coordination, tax management, internal controls, cash flow management, and MIDA-related matters, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, strong governance and compliance, and effective liquidity management, with the support of 4 team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Statutory Compliance - Oversee preparation of financial statements and ensure timely statutory reporting, audit coordination, and compliance with MFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Tax Compliance & Advisory - Manage corporate tax compliance, including tax filings, computations, and liaison with tax authorities and agents on all tax-related matters.
- Internal Controls & Governance - Develop and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Treasury and Cash Flow Management - Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, optimize working capital, and manage banking and funding requirements.
- MIDA & Regulatory Compliance - Handle MIDA incentive applications and ensure compliance with related conditions, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Team Leadership and Development - Lead and develop a finance team by assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement and System Enhancement - Drive process improvements and system enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, automation, and financial control effectiveness.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, tax and proven team managing experience, in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in internal controls and cash flow forecasting/treasury management.
- Strong analytical and high attention to detail and governance discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Willing to work in Melaka.
