Role Description The FinOps Analyst role at Coforge is a contract, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur. The analyst will monitor and analyze financial operations related to cloud and IT services, ensuring cost optimization and alignment with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial data, preparing cost and usage reports, validating invoices, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities for technology spend. The role also involves collaborating with finance, engineering, and operations teams to interpret financial statements, recommend cost-saving measures, and maintain accurate financial documentation. The FinOps Analyst will contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Finance, including understanding of core financial concepts and practices.
  • Experience in Financial Planning and budgeting, with the ability to support forecasts and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Proficiency in working with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparing and interpreting reports for stakeholders.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills, with capability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide clear insights and recommendations.
  • Comfort with cloud or IT financial operations (FinOps) concepts, including cost allocation, chargeback, and optimization (preferred).
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills; familiarity with financial tools, BI dashboards, or analytics platforms is beneficial.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications in finance or cloud FinOps are an advantage.
