The candidate is expected to support Fixed Income research in delivering highquality research and analysis on credit and fixed-income markets. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, familiarity with economic and financial data, and the ability to effectively utilise analytical tools to produce timely and insightful research outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Credit and Fixed Income Research: Conduct research and analysis on credit and fixed income research, utilising relevant analytical tools and data sources.
- Monitor Key Economic Indicators: Compile, track, and interpret core macroeconomic indicators that influence relevant markets.
- Market Understanding: Develop and maintain a strong grasp of how global capital and credit markets operate, keeping abreast on credit rating news, key company matrices, and global economic fundamentals.
- Research Production: Produce highquality written reports, presentations, and analytical notes as required by the department.
- Client Engagement: Maintain professional working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, contributing to discussions and briefngs as needed.
- Task Management: Continuously monitor developments related to assigned tasks, evaluate implications, and provide timely updates to senior team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Accounting).
Experience
- 13 years of research experience in a financial institution, money brokerage firm, or other relevant industry.
- Prior industry experience in fixed income or FX markets would be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of written and spoken English, with the ability to write clear, concise, and wellstructured research.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to utilise analytical tools confidently for Rates and FX research.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with familiarity in research methodologies.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.
