About Fiskor
Fiskor is a Malaysia's snack brand transforming traditional Keropok Lekor into a modern, ready-to-eat snack. As we expand across modern trade, general trade, convenience stores, distributors and export markets, we are looking for a commercially driven Sales & Business Development Executive to help grow our customer base and revenue.
This is a hands-on sales role. You will work closely with the Founder and Managing Director to prospect for new customers, develop sales channels, manage business accounts and convert opportunities into purchase orders. Your primary objective is to bring Fiskor into more stores, markets and customer channels.
You will manage an active sales pipeline covering retail accounts, distributors, wholesalers and selected export opportunities. You will be expected to prospect consistently, follow up professionally and take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through to order confirmation and account development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and New Business Development
- Identify and approach potential retailers, distributors, wholesalers, convenience stores and foodservice customers.
- Generate leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, exhibitions, market visits and direct outreach.
- Present Fiskor's products, pricing, promotions and commercial proposals.
- Prepare quotations, sales presentations, product information and customer documentation.
- Follow up consistently and convert qualified opportunities into listings, purchase orders and recurring sales.
- Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline.
Modern Trade & Key Accounts
- Support the development of supermarket, convenience-store and specialty-retail accounts.
- Coordinate product samples, listing proposals, promotions and buyer requirements.
- Manage communication and follow-up with buyers and account representatives.
- Monitor account performance, product movement, stock availability and promotional results.
- Work with internal teams to coordinate launches, deliveries and account servicing.
General Trade & Distributor Development
- Develop relationships with distributors, wholesalers and independent retailers.
- Conduct regular customer visits, store checks and market-development activities.
- Identify new territories, customer segments and routes to market.
- Support distributors with sales plans, promotions and account expansion.
- Negotiate commercial terms while protecting company margins and business interests.
Export Support
- Follow up on overseas enquiries, exhibition leads and potential distributor opportunities.
- Prepare quotations, product information, samples and basic export-related documents.
- Research prospective markets, retailers and distribution partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on registration, logistics and customer requirements.
- Support the Founder during selected business meetings, negotiations and export-development projects.
Sales Reporting & Account Reporting
- Prepare weekly pipeline updates, sales forecasts and action plans.
- Maintain proper records of customer discussions, quotations and next actions.
- Coordinate closely with marketing, operations, fulfilment and management.
- Follow up on customer orders, account requirements and outstanding payments when required.
- Take ownership of assigned sales targets and account performance.
Requirement
- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field is preferred.
- At least one years of experience in sales, business development, key accounts or channel development is preferred.
- Experience in FMCG, food, snacks, beverages or consumer products is an advantage.
- Exposure to modern trade, general trade, distributors, wholesalers or export sales is beneficial.
- Existing relationships with retail buyers, distributors or wholesalers are an advantage.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong commercial ability and relevant industry exposure.
- Confident communicating with prospective customers and business partners.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation and follow-up skills.
- Able to understand pricing, margins, promotional mechanics and commercial terms.
- Able to prepare professional quotations, proposals and sales presentations.
- Organised, persistent and comfortable working toward measurable sales targets.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with management and internal teams.
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or additional language capabilities are an advantage.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems and business-messaging platforms.
- Able and willing to travel for customer meetings, store visits, exhibitions and market-development activities.
- A valid driving licence and reliable transportation are required due to the travel requirements of the role.
