My client is a rapidly growing organisation within the food and consumer products industry, known for its strong focus on quality, operational excellence, and continuous innovation. With an expanding footprint across multiple markets, they are looking for an experienced Food Safety Manager in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will be leading the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the company's food safety framework across its operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee compliance, risk management, supplier quality, audit readiness, and crisis response activities. This role offers an excellent platform for an experienced food safety professional to drive best practices and influence business-wide quality standards.

Your new role

• Drive and continuously improve food safety management systems in line with recognised industry standards.
  
  
• Lead food safety audits, regulatory compliance activities, and certification programmes.
  
  
• Manage food safety risks throughout sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution processes.
  
• Oversee supplier qualification, audits, product compliance reviews, and traceability initiatives.
  
• Lead investigations, crisis management activities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programmes.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  
  
• Minimum 7 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or related functions within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, regulatory requirements, and audit processes.
  
• Professional certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, Lead Auditor, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  
• Proficiency in Mandarin & English is a must to liaise with international stakeholders.
