We're growing, and we're looking for a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to join our team in Petaling Jaya.
WHAT FORWARD DEPLOYED MEANS
You won't be hidden away writing code in isolation. You'll be on the front linesmeeting clients, diagnosing problems, designing solutions, and building systems that make a real impact. This is a hybrid role with a mix of on-site client engagements, collaborative work at our office, and remote flexibility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Partner with clients to understand their data landscape, challenges, and business goals
Design and implement scalable data pipelines, architectures, and integration workflows
Build ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from diverse sources
Develop data models and warehouse architectures that support analytics and BI
Conduct technical discovery sessions and translate business needs into technical solutions
Communicate progress and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders
Document solutions and enable client teams to own what you've built
Contribute insights from client work to inform our internal product development
WHAT YOU BRING
Technical Skills:
3+ years in data engineering or related roles
Strong Python and SQL skills (non-negotiable)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Data warehouse or data lakehouse experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
Hands-on with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
Familiarity with transformation frameworks (dbt, SQLMesh, Spark)
Comfortable deploying and working with open source tools
Consulting & Soft Skills:
Excellent communicationyou can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements
Self-directed and able to manage multiple client engagements
Strong documentation habits
Bonus Points:
Previous consulting or client-facing experience
Exposure to streaming platforms, IaC tools, or BI tools
Experience across multiple industries
